AHG's JAT Refrigerated Road Services has expanded its range of services in north Queensland.

The fibre carton producer Orora has sealed a deal with AHG Refrigerated Logistics to strengthen its service offering to its fruit and produce customer base.

The new partnership between Orora and AHG became effective today, and gives Orora Fibre Packaging access to AHG's comprehensive logistics infrastructure. JAT will deliver flatpack cartons, ready for folding and packing, to its farm customers.

Through the partnership, Orora Fibre Packaging's supply of corrugated cartons to the Australian fruit and produce sector will be complemented by JAT's additional logistics service offering.

Orora managing director Nigel Garrard says AHG's logistics infrastructure will see the delivery of cartons in a timely manner to customers, with market-leading capability to collect and protect their fresh produce through the transport chain ensuring it arrives to market in optimal condition.

“Orora strives to be a customer-led provider of innovative packaging solutions, and this partnership with AHG is a significant step in that journey,” said Mr Garrard.

“Orora and AHG can now offer our fruit and produce customers an end-to-end packaging solution for their produce, from carton to market in pristine condition.”

With Panama disease threatening the banana industry in North Queensland, JAT Refrigerated Road Services is taking action to assist in preventing the spread of the threat.

JAT personnel are pressure cleaning and applying disinfectant to all vehicles before leaving our depots to pick up from or deliver to farms or packing facilities.

The same treatment is applied between runs from depots on subsequent trips.

This course of action, in conjunction with protocols that farms and sheds have in place, along with guidelines and information from Bio Security Queensland, DAFF, and the ABGC, will go a long way towards halting the potential progress of the disease through the banana growing areas of North Queensland.

JAT is now part of Automotive Holdings Group

Automotive Holdings Group Limited (ASX: AHE) is pleased to announce that it has completed the acquisition of Scott’s Refrigerated Freightways ("SRF") including JAT Refrigerated Road Services (“JAT”).
